A Rosary of Nyungnes

Karma Deleg Chö Phel Ling would like to hold a rosary of 8 non-stop Nyungnes in the temple during the fourth month of the Tibetan calendar, the so-called Saga Dawa.
Saga Dawa is the month that commemorates the birth, enlightenment and parinirvana of the Buddha Sakyamuni. These days are considered powerful in that all actions with body, speech and mind are multiplied by hundreds of thousands of times. Especially, the Saga Dawa Duchen on the full moon day of 21 of May, all activity is multiplied by ten million.
On these special days, we would like to hold a rosary of 8 Nyungnes in the temple and we would like to welcome all who are genuinely interested in joining in this intensive practice of mantra recitation and fasting of the Thousand-Armed Chenrezig. The centre is sponsoring all those who take up this practice with pure intention and sincerity during those two weeks, we therefore do not charge any costs.
In the scriptures it is mentioned that doing 8 Nyungnes in one’s life time provides protection from a rebirth in the lower realms of Samsara. This is why this year, we have chosen for this special number of Nyungnes.
